  • Overview

    1. The Manual Machine Operator is responsible for operating a manual machine by following work instructions in order to meet production goals and quality standards.


    1. Run production as instructed on a variety of machinery and equipment.
    2. Check work instruction to ensure accurate settings for job
    3. Identify and locate proper material thickness and gauge.
    4. Visually inspect parts to ensure parts are within the defined specifications to meet quality standards before moving to the next station.
    5. Check product against plan using assigned gaging.
    6. Participate in activities to increase personal skill level, overall departmental processes and product quality.
    7. Maintain organized and clean work area.
    8. Communicate all problems and other work related issues with Supervisor or Lead.
    9. Comply with all company policies and procedures in including safety and attendance requirements.
    10. Resolve day-to-day issues by working effectively with others.
    11. Other duties required to meet company needs as assigned by Supervisor or Lead.


    Experience and Education:

    1. Minimum of 3 years machining experience.
    2. High School Diploma or GED.
    3. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.


    Essential Physical Requirements:

    1. 20/20 vision required with or without correction.
    2. Ability to use hands 100% of the workday.
    3. Ability to stand and or walk 100% of the workday.
    4. Ability to bend, stoop or twist 50% of the workday.
    5. Ability to exert physical force to push, pull, lift or carry 50 pounds occasionally.
    6. Ability to work in shop environment - continuous exposure to metal working machinery and equipment, dust, oils and solvents.
