Overview

Radiac Abrasives, Inc. is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in our Oswego, IL facility.  Radiac is a leading manufacturer of Conventional Bonded and Superabrasives in North America. For more than 100 years, Radiac has delivered industry leading technology and quality products and service to the metal finishing industry. Radiac is a TYROLIT Company that is owned by the Swarovski Group which is headquartered in Schwaz, Austria.

Responsibilities

  • Sales and Use Tax reporting for various states.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.
  • Research and correct account discrepancies.
  • Help with field work for financial and operational audits.
  • Ad Hoc analyses as needed.
  • Correspond with other corporate departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses.
  • Process, release, & mail invoices daily for TNA.
  • Process Credit card sales & payments for TNA customers.
  • Prepare bank deposit, scan checks, and post payments to customer accounts in SAP for TNA.
  • Monthly credit collection calls & emails to TNA customers.
  • Run monthly A/R statements, stuff envelopes, and mail statements to TNA customers.
  • General TNA A/P: vouchering miscellaneous vendor invoices & expense reports.
  • Process TNA Accounts Payable paperwork at completion with running of check register & check run.
  • Review & update TNA commission reports for customer payments.
  • Prepare mailings and priority shipments for the Finance/Accounting Department.
  • Prepare labels and maintain files/binders as needed within the department.
  • Prepare correspondence as needed within the department.
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining Investment Orders within the department.
  • Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time – quite often on short notice - by the CFO, Director of Finance, Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting, is required.
  • Degree(s) must be from a credible college or university
  • Must be highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets (vlookup’s/pivot tables, etc).
  • Must be skilled in use of MS Word and must be a very good writer in order to handle the occasional administrative needs of the department.
  • Must have very good verbal skills.
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in accounting is required in Manufacturing & General Accounting.
  • Ability to travel to other sites when needed.
  • SAP Experience preferred.
